BayNorth Church of Christ: A Testament of Faith and Growth
With hearts full of gratitude, we honor the divine journey of BayNorth Church of Christ. Rooted in the vision of the late Donald Williams and his wife Mattie, our congregation was born in 2001, guided by faith and the unwavering support of devoted believers. United in spirit, families such as the Morrises, Williamses, Mullins, Brown, Walkers, and Lanhams joined in prayer, fellowship, and service, bringing this vision to life. Strengthened by the prayers and support of Southside Church of Christ, our mission was affirmed with the guiding principle: "Saving Souls is Our Goal."
From humble beginnings in home Bible studies to worshiping at Oakbrook Elementary and the Fairfield Community Center, the Lord's favor was evident. In 2008, under the evangelic leadership of Sam Morris and Mike Washington, we secured our first permanent home on North Texas Street. By 2012, our faith led us to expand into a 6,000-square-foot space on West Texas Street, nurturing spiritual growth and community outreach. In 2018, BayNorth took another bold step, acquiring a 38,000-square-foot campus on Pennsylvania Ave—an expansion that deepened our impact and reaffirmed our commitment to service.
Through God's provision, we have fed thousands, supported families, and uplifted those in need, embodying Christ’s love in action. Since 2003, under the steadfast leadership of Pastor Sam Morris, our church has flourished as a beacon of faith, hope, and salvation. The legacy of love and discipleship continues, as we trust in God’s divine plan for the future.
